
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently revealed that he always wanted to be in an action movie, so when Patan He came, and he took it immediately. Starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, directed by Siddharth Anand marks SRK’s return to Bollywood after five years.
In a recent interview, Shah Rukh revealed that making an action movie is his “lifelong dream”. “Ever since I entered the film industry, I have had a strong desire to do action films. When we (producers Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan) started, he wrote action films for me. I never thought I could Do a romance or a social drama. But one day, he came to me and said, ‘Can we drop this idea, Shah Rukh? I have a love story to write.'” SRK revealed that he was hesitant, thinking love stories were very ” boring”.
However, Aditya Chopra convinced him to take over the film, which went on to become one of the most successful blockbusters of Shah Rukh Khan’s career. “That was a few years ago. So, this time when he said Pathaan, it was COVID and only a little shot was allowed. I quickly jumped on it and told my team, ‘Let’s do it before he cancels Get started before. ’ So, I work out. But they don’t want anything. They tell me, ‘You’re just doing cool moves. You’re easy.’”
SRK added that Pathaan is an “exaggerated” action movie and hopes his kids will enjoy it. The actor also said he “whistled the loudest” when he saw the film’s trailer.
Shah Rukh Khan also commented on his journey in the industry, mentioning that he “equates” certain life instances to his films. “Movies are life. The most important events in my life, I equate them with movies. When my son was born, I remember when Gauri went to the hospital on the last day of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.”
Pathaan will be released on January 25th.
