Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and King Hamad hailed UAE-Bahrain ties at Manama meeting

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and King Hamad of Bahrain The deep-rooted ties between the two countries were welcomed during Saturday’s talks.

King Hamad He received senior Emirati diplomats in Manama during his official visit to the country during the tenth session of the UAE-Bahrain Joint High Commission.

Sheikh Abdullah Conveyed greetings from President Sheikh Mohamed and wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Bahrain and its people.

In return, King Hamad made a similar point.

The monarch reiterated his pride in the long-standing ties between the Gulf neighbours, which he said were built on strong pillars of brotherhood, shared vision, understanding and close coordination.

He spoke about the success of the Joint High Commission meeting in strengthening partnerships among countries in various fields.

King Hamad praised the UAE’s pivotal role on the regional and international stage and its work in laying the foundations for security and stability.

Sheikh Abdullah spoke about the strong brotherly relationship between the UAE and Bahrain and the shared desire to further develop this cooperation.

“The UAE-Bahrain relations are deeply rooted and the leaders of both countries are determined to move forward in strengthening these relations and developing cooperation in various fields,” said Sheikh Abdullah.

He paid tribute to the Bahrain development movement led by King Hamad.

Sheikh Abdullah arrived in Bahrain early on Saturday, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and UAE Ambassador to the country Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and some officials met him.

The meeting was attended by Ministers of State Khalifa Al Marar, Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri.

On Sunday, Sheikh Abdullah met with Bahrain’s crown prince, Prince Salman bin Hamad.

Prince Salman welcomed the visit of Sheikh Abdullah and his delegation and said the meeting of the high committee supports the shared goal of strengthening economic and investment partnerships.

The Crown Prince of Bahrain hosted a luncheon for the minister’s visit.

President Sheikh Mohammed Talks were held with King Hamad in Abu Dhabi last month.

They reviewed efforts to further strengthen ties in a range of areas and expressed pride in the strength of the alliance between the two countries.
