Shireen Mazari, former PTI leader, files lawsuit in Islamabad High Court to be removed from Exit Control List. Interior minister and FIA director general also involved.
The petition argues that including Shireen Mazari name in the Provisional National Identity List (PNIL), an alternative to the Exit Control List (ECL), is an “unlawful practice.”
She has requested the removal of her name from the list and the declaration of the PNIL bill as “illegal.”
Following the May 9 violence triggered by the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Shireen Mazara, a prominent PTI leader and former Union Minister, announced her departure from PTI and the political arena.
She strongly condemned the violence and expressed solidarity with the victims and their families.
Mazari personally approached the Islamabad High Court to ensure a fair and transparent investigation. She emphasized the importance of respecting state institutions and denounced any aggression towards them.
Mazari prioritized her children and mother, emphasizing her commitment to them. Subsequently, she was arrested multiple times but was eventually released by the court. One instance was her appearance in police court in connection with the incitement case involving supporters of a political party in Kharaan.
