SpiceJet Flights Delayed at Delhi Airport: Latest Passenger Update

Several SpiceJet flights delayed at Delhi Airport on September 19, 2026, affected more than 500 passengers after operational issues disrupted check-in and departures at Indira Gandhi International Airport.

At least four domestic flights and one international service faced disruption, with Delhi–Leh, Delhi–Jammu and Delhi–Dubai flights among those affected.

The disruption was particularly noticeable at Terminal 1 during the early morning. Reports said check-in staffing issues affected some Leh-bound flights. The affected flights included:

  • SG127 — Delhi to Leh: Scheduled for 4:50 AM; departed around 9:00 AM, more than four hours late.
  • SG121 — Delhi to Leh: Scheduled for 6:10 AM; delayed because of operational issues.
  • SG125 — Delhi to Leh: Scheduled for 8:45 AM; also affected by the disruption.
  • SG2160 — Delhi to Jammu: Scheduled for 7:40 AM; delayed by more than one hour.
  • SG5111 — Delhi to Dubai: Scheduled for 7:45 AM from Terminal 3; departed around 9:42 AM.

SpiceJet later confirmed that SG121, SG127 and SG2160 had departed and reached their destinations. The airline attributed the delays to operational reasons.

Delhi Airport said its teams were coordinating with SpiceJet and other stakeholders to assist affected passengers. Travellers were advised to contact the airline or airport ground teams for the latest updates.

The disruption comes only days after lengthy delays on two SpiceJet Delhi–Dubai flights triggered passenger protests at the airport.

Passengers travelling with SpiceJet from Delhi should check their flight status before leaving for the airport and confirm their terminal and departure time.
