While “Hollywood studios are planning a writers’ strike — even before negotiations start,” Amy said, studios and networks are already preparing: “The producers are working with the writers to ramp up those timelines, making sure that as much as possible done in many places”
She also noted, “If there’s a strike, it can do a lot of damage. You have cast timetables that you depend on, and so do directors. All of these things are laid out months and months in advance. To stick with it , everything gets delayed and screwed up, and you have to start from scratch.”
