[ad_1]

ABU DHABI – The Tawazun Council, a government entity that works closely with the UAE Armed Forces, security agencies and Abu Dhabi Police, has announced the release of UAE Standards for Small Caliber Ammunition Testing and Qualification.

The UAE standard will be based on internationally applicable standards such as the NATO standard and aims to ensure the quality and safety of small-caliber ammunition in the UAE. Over the next six months, UAE standards will be published and implemented.

Proof House is part of the TIP-based Tawazun Testing and Qualification Center (TTQC), accredited by the Tawazun Council to test and verify the functionality and safety of ammunition to international standards. Type approval of small caliber ammunition validated and issued by Proof House will be a requirement for any defense and security procurement contract as well as for product licensing for import/export control purposes.

Tareq Abdulraheem Al Hosani, Secretary General of the Tawazun Committee, said the Committee is committed to maintaining the highest quality and safety standards for defense and security products as part of its mandate to regulate the import, export, development and disposal of any form of technology, defense and security products.

“The establishment of this new testing facility represents an important step forward for the country’s defense and military sector. The center will be a valuable resource for Tawazun’s strategic partners and other organizations seeking the highest level of expertise and services in munitions testing,” he added.

“As a leading testing facility, Proof House provides a wide range of services to the defense and military sectors. The center’s testing capabilities include evaluating munitions for reliability, durability and accuracy, as well as performance and safety.”

Proof House’s team of experienced professionals ensures that all testing procedures comply with international standards and regulations. The center is equipped with cutting-edge testing equipment and facilities, enabling it to conduct tests on a wide range of munitions and other defense and military equipment.

“We are proud to showcase our advanced capabilities in ammunition testing. With an unwavering commitment to quality and safety, we are committed to providing the most reliable and accurate testing services to the defense and military sectors,” said Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Head of said the Regulatory and Quality Assurance Department of the Al Tawazun Committee.

As part of TTQC, Proof House is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It uses advanced technology to test and validate small caliber ammunition, a competitive advantage that places it among the top testing centers in the world.

The UAE is a member of the Brussels-based Commission Internationale Permanente Pour l`Epreuve des Armes à Feu portables (CIP).

As such, Proof House tests and verifies all UAE-made ammunition to ensure they meet all safety requirements for the international market.
