Betsy Wilson-Mahoney is launching her 2023 Aiken Calendar, The Real Housedogs of Aiken, at the Aiken Antique Mall on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. FOTAS will have county shelter dogs available for adoption at the event on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds from the calendars will be donated to FOTAS, helping the homeless pets at the Aiken County Animal Shelter.

The Center for African American History, Art & Culture will host a two-part presentation by Wayne O’Bryant titled Preserving our History: Telling Our Stories on Thursday, Oct. 27, and Thursday, Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m. on the second floor. Part one of the presentation will cover South Carolina History Classes, Sankofa, and not teaching Critical Race Theory (CRT), but teaching Inclusive Historical Truth (IHT). The Center for African American History, Art & Culture will host a two-part presentation by Wayne O’Bryant titled Preserving our History: Telling Our Stories on Thursday, Oct. 27, and Thursday, Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m. on the second floor.
