
Dubai Municipality has announced the removal of all rubbish it has collected from venues for New Year celebrations in the Emirate of Dubai. It also carried out almost 90 inspection and monitoring visits to ensure that health and safety and food safety standards were being followed by organizers accompanying the event.
Using more than 114 pieces of equipment, city teams completed the site cleanup in record time by 6 am.
Municipal cleaning teams, which work in partnership with private companies, consist of 2,241 workers, 166 supervisors and 189 volunteers.

As part of its efforts to preserve the cultural and aesthetic appearance of the emirate of Dubai, the municipality also disposed of waste from fireworks and New Year’s performances, in addition to general clean-up.
The teams also oversee celebrations at 43 locations across the UAE through a team of 84 employees and supervisors, as well as 32 observers at Burj Khalifa, to ensure they comply with health and safety requirements and food safety standards at the Khalifa celebration site.
Dubai Municipality’s Dubai Frame Celebration site attracted nearly 20,000 visitors as they celebrated the start of the new year with a display of distinctive paintings. —— trade arab news agency
