The UAE Meteorological Agency reported light to moderate rain in various areas on Monday as Cyclone Shaheen was downgraded to a tropical storm.

The National Meteorological Center (NCM) also reported that due to high-speed winds raising dust, visibility in many areas was affected.
The horizontal visibility of Gasyoura in Al Ain was reduced to less than 500 meters. NCM has also issued code yellow sandstorm warnings for some areas:

The UAE is on full alert to mitigate the impact of the storm. As a precautionary measure, schools and universities in parts of the UAE have been online; a park has been closed; construction sites in Al Ain have been protected and work has ceased completely.
The storm is expected to weaken before hitting the east coast of the UAE. NCM issued a red code alert on the east coast to warn of waves of 10 feet offshore and wind speeds of 50 km/h. The alert was issued at 5:25 pm on Sunday and will continue until Monday evening.
