UAE astronaut Sultan AlNeyadi, fresh from his six-month stint aboard the International Space Station (ISS), wasted no time expressing his readiness for the next mission, a mere two days after returning to Earth.
AlNeyadi’s swift eagerness embodies the UAE Astronaut Programme’s spirit, according to Salem AlMarri, Director-General of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC).
AlMarri confirmed that AlNeyadi is in excellent health after his 17-hour journey back to Earth, where he touched down off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida, on September 4.
The 42-year-old astronaut will be returning to the UAE in a few weeks after undergoing medical observation in the US.
