UAE: Federal Human Resources Authority refutes rumors of 3-day holiday for government entities before 1 July

Abu Dhabi: The Federal Authority for Human Resources (FAHR) has refuted rumors circulating on social media that the daily working hours of federal government entities will change before July 1 and confirmed that such information is false.

Authorities urged the public and social media users to obtain information from their official websites and social media platforms and avoid rumors and misleading news.

The competent authority stated that the implementation rules of the “Human Resources Law” stipulate the newly introduced work models and employment types such as part-time jobs, temporary workers, flexible work, office work, domestic remote work, and overseas remote work, such as mixed work and compressed work. .

Compressed jobs are just one of the job models designed to enhance the flexibility of the government work environment and facilitate and speed up the completion process.

Compressed work systems are subject to specific and defined regulations and requirements related to the nature of work at each federal government entity.

Compressed work systems are permitted in exceptional circumstances under certain regulations established by the Human Resources Department.
