UAE: How to pay public parking fines online in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman

[ad_1]

Dubai: Just got a text message about overdue parking, or saw a parking ticket on your car? If so, public parking fines in the UAE can be easily paid online in minutes.

Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman are four emirates with paid parking systems, and you can pay fines through their respective municipalities and public transport authorities.

1. Abu Dhabi

In Abu Dhabi, if you pay your public parking fine within 60 days of the date the fine was issued, you will get a 25% discount, according to the Integrated Transport Center (ITC), the UAE’s public transport authority.

Abu Dhabi’s public parking system is called ‘Mawaqif’ and is managed by the ITC.

You can pay public parking fines through the ‘Darb’ app, the official app for the UAE toll gate system and public car parks, by following these steps:

1. First download the Darb app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
2. Next, open the app and log in with your Emirates Pass.
3. Tap “Fine” on the app menu bar at the bottom of your phone’s screen. Click on “Mawaqif”.
4. The app will then detect the fines associated with the vehicle and your Emirates ID.
5. If there is a fine on your account, select the violation and pay with your credit or debit card on the app.

2. Dubai

You can pay fines through the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) website – rta.ae. Through this online service you can also pay for other infractions such as crossing tollbooths without any balance in your Salik account. You can review and pay your fines by:

1. Visit: https://traffic.rta.ae/trfesrv/public_resources/revamp/ffu/public-fines-payment.do?serviceCode=301&entityId=-1
2. Review the fines issued to you in one of the following ways:
• Use your license plate.
• Use your license number.
• Use penalty numbers.
• Use your transit file number
3. Once the details have been entered, the system will provide information on any fines that may have been issued.
4. You can then complete the payment with a credit or debit card.

You can also pay fines using the ‘RTA’ app, which is available for Apple, Huawei and Android devices.

3. Sharjah

You can pay parking fines in Sharjah through the Sharjah Municipality website, as follows:

1. Visit this link: https://www.shjmun.gov.ae/PublicEServices/Serv4-payfines/default.aspx?Lang=en-US and enter your vehicle information such as your license plate number, origin (emirate registered) and class (private, company or leased). Then, click the “Search” button.
2. If there are any fines outstanding in the Sharjah Municipality database, the amount and violation will be displayed.
3. Next, enter your contact details, such as your email address and mobile phone number.
4. Afterwards, pay for illegal parking online through the Sharjah Municipal website.
5. After paying the fine, you will receive a confirmation SMS and email.

Another option you can choose is to visit the Sharjah City Customer Happiness Centre, where you can also pay your fine.

4. Ajman

The Ajman Municipality and Planning Department is the government agency that oversees the public parking system in the emirate. Residents and tourists in the emirate who have a vehicle with a pending parking fine can pay the fine through the ministry’s mobile app, “MPDA”. Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Download the “MPDA” app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
2. Next, tap “Pay fine” on the app’s home page, then tap “Go.”
3. Select the Personal category.
4. Select one of the options – Local/Resident or Visitor.
5. If you selected ‘Local/Resident’, please enter your Emirates ID number. If you selected “Visitor”, please enter your passport number and nationality.
6. Click on “Search” and you will be able to view the fines on the system under your account.
7. Select Violation.
8. Pay the fine on the app using your credit or debit card. Once complete, you will receive a payment confirmation notification from the app.
