UAE: How to use this AED 225 monthly pass for unlimited bus travel in Sharjah

If you regularly use public buses in Sharjah, you can use a special subscription card for only AED 225 for unlimited travel on all city routes for a month. The Sayer Subscription Card is issued by Mowasalat Buses, the Sharjah City bus line operated by the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA).

What is a Sayer Subscription Card?

Sayer Subscription Cards are gray, unlike regular Sayer Cards which are blue.The card allows you unlimited travel 30 days.

According to SRTA Call Center – 600 525252, the ticket is valid for 5 years, and you can renew monthly. If you buy a subscription card, you can take multiple trips in one day, and the cost of the trips will be included in the monthly pass fee.

Sayer Subscription Card Fee Breakdown

According to the SRTA call center, the gray card costs are as follows:
• Card Price: A One-time payment of 5 dirhams Includes 5 percent Value Added Tax (VAT).
• Monthly recharge: 225 dirhams

If you compare it to the standard Sejeka, you can only top up the card with AED 45, AED 90 and AED 180. Traveling within Sharjah with a regular card costs AED 6.

When you board a Mowasalat bus, you can buy a Sayer card from the bus driver.

How to top up the Sayer subscription card on the bus?

According to Mowasalat, the steps to top up a subscription card are as follows:
• Board any Mowasalat bus and ask the driver to top up your Sayer card.
• Pay the driver with cash or card and remember to get your purchase receipt.

You can only use the card to travel on Mowasalat buses, which only operate on bus routes within Sharjah city, and cannot be used for inter-emirate travel on public transport buses operated by SRTA.
