UAE: Launch of automated education credential certification service – News

An online service that automatically certifies higher education credentials was launched on Wednesday.

It is part of the Ministry of Education’s efforts to speed up the digitization of services, which previously took longer.

In the past, students had to apply for this service and wait at least three days to receive documents from the back office team before completing certification.

Six UAE universities are already on board, taking advantage of new student services.

Dr Sameera Almulla, director of the Department of Certificate Equivalence at the Ministry of Education, told the Khaleej Times on the sidelines of a press conference: “This project is about automatic verification of certificates issued by universities. Previously, students applied for this service and it took three days to receive it. Backend people’s files, and then we do the certification. After this rollout, students will no longer need this service. Everything will happen proactively. When we receive all the information from the university, it will be automatically certified.
