UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan ordered the release of 1,530 prisoners on the occasion of the 51st National Day.

The initiative aims to give prisoners the opportunity to start over, rebuild their futures and serve their communities.

Every year, on special occasions, the country’s rulers pardon hundreds of prisoners in a compassionate gesture in hopes of reuniting families and improving quality of life.
