Mulk Med Healthcare of Indian Club in Oud Metha has launched comprehensive medical insurance for just AED 149, offering consumers and inbound tourists a complete healthcare package. The package brings together healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, health insurers and global health experts on one platform.

Approved by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), the Mulk Med Privilege Health Card is suitable for UAE tourists, students, businesses, communities, individuals and families, covering all their healthcare needs through unlimited 24/7 online video consultation.

Dr. Nawab Shafi Ul Mulk, president and co-founder of Mulk Med Healthcare, told Khaleej Times that they have partnered with 100 hospitals and 300 pharmacies around the world and are working with more healthcare groups. “We have partnered with most of the well-known hospitals in the UAE, such as Aster, Al Zahra, Zulekha, Prime, etc.,” said Dr. Shafi.

Privilege card holders can even benefit from a wide range of services such as 24/7 online consultation, delivery of medication to their doorstep, diagnosis, online consultation and even surgery.

Dr Shafi said that if a visitor experiences medical complications during their trip to the UAE, “he/she is responsible for paying the comprehensive medical package of Dh150,000.” He added that the coverage is valid for 90 days.

“However, our insurance also applies to pre-existing chronic conditions, in emergencies, and cannot be claimed by patients with a medical history,” added Dr. Shafee.

Approval deadlines are one day, with emergencies taking priority – they will be approved within minutes, Dr Shafee said, adding that the package could be used by anyone in any age group.

Visitors can apply for travel insurance through the company’s website or from various partnered ticketing platforms. “We plan to work with Emirates and other ticketing platforms,” he added.

Tourists who want to apply for insurance only need their national ID card, passport, and a few questions on the company’s website.

Nawab Shaji Ul Mulk, Chairman of Mulk International Group, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Zimbabwe government to implement the Mulk virtual hospital and digital health platform nationwide.

Multiple diagnostic facilities, laboratories and express pharmacies there will be connected to the Mulk Med healthcare network, allowing for 24/7 live video consultations with its team of physicians.
