UAE President, King of Bahrain explore ways to strengthen bilateral ties

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was received by Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at his official residence in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

The two leaders recalled the strong historical ties between the UAE and Bahrain and prayed for the continued stability and progress of their countries and peoples.

Sheikh Mohammed and King Hamad discussed how to further strengthen the bilateral relationship to advance the shared development goals of both countries and enable the continued progress of the UAE and the people of Bahrain.

The leaders of the two countries also exchanged views on some regional and international issues.

The meeting was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency; Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi His Royal Highness Al Nahyan.

Others in attendance were Sheikh Tayab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Presidential Special Affairs Adviser Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan.

The delegation accompanying King Hamad included Lieutenant General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Commander of the Royal Guard and the King’s Humanitarian and Youth Representative; Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa , the king’s foreign affairs advisor; and some chiefs and senior officials of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
