Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) employs advanced robotic-assisted tools for successful joint replacement surgeries, including a patient who suffered 30 years of knee pain. The hospital’s latest robotic surgical system enhances precision and outcomes in knee replacement procedures compared to traditional methods.
SSMC has treated numerous patients with this new technology, achieving positive results. One case involved a 52-year-old man who found relief after years of knee pain and stiffness.
Another patient, a 72-year-old Emirati woman, is progressing well after surgery, as is a 73-year-old Emirati man.
The robotic approach enables tailored procedures, enhancing patient satisfaction and outcomes.
SSMC, a collaboration between SEHA and Mayo Clinic, is dedicated to innovative healthcare solutions, positioning itself to elevate patient care in the region through technology adoption.
