The UAE strongly condemns the Israeli occupying forces’ attack on the Palestinian city of Jenin and its camps through airstrikes and gunfire, which caused casualties.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for an immediate cessation of repeated and escalating actions against the Palestinian people, and urged the Israeli authorities to reduce escalation and refrain from taking actions that exacerbate tension and violence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and lead to a deterioration of the situation and a continuation of the cycle of violence. The ministry also called for compliance with the provisions of international law and Security Council resolutions.

Stressing the need to recommit to international efforts to achieve a ceasefire and revitalize the Middle East peace process, the ministry stressed the UAE’s support for all regional and international efforts in this regard and to end the illegal practice that threatens the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders , with East Jerusalem as its capital.
