The UAE will receive nearly five million Indian tourists in 2022, while the number of Emirati tourists visiting India will reach nearly 58,000, the UAE Minister of Economy said, noting that India is the UAE’s main tourist source market.
Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri was speaking during a meeting with G Kishan Reddy, Minister of Tourism and Culture of India. The ministers explored the possibility of strengthening investment exchanges in the tourism industry.
In addition, innovative initiatives that could help stimulate tourism flows between the two countries, as well as increasing the number of mutual flights, were discussed.
“We are keen to strengthen our cooperation with India to explore more promising opportunities in the tourism industry and launch innovative tourism projects to harness the potential of the latest technology in hospitality services. This will enhance the experience of tourists and bring become a preferred tourist destination,” added Bin Touq.
