UAE university showcases inflatable farm for sustainable agriculture

Abu Dhabi University has introduced its inaugural on-campus AirFarm, a portable inflatable farm, to drive sustainable agricultural advancements in the emirate. The project combines IoT, AI, and over 15 advanced solutions to foster food security and sustainable agriculture.

Smart farming technologies enhance crop yields by 30%, reduce labor costs by 80%, and decrease water and fertilizer usage.

This initiative is the result of a partnership between the university, South Korean smart Agri-Tech company Midbar, and RBK Company, focusing on research and development solutions across various sectors, including agriculture, IoT, AI, health, and water desalination.
