A brand new theme park has settled on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi was inaugurated yesterday in a special ceremony by Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, It will be open to the public on Tuesday.

“As the first SeaWorld park to open outside of the United States, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi marks an important chapter in SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment,” said SeaWorld Chairman Scott Ross.

During the event, Sheikh Khaled toured the attraction and was briefed on its facilities, which span 183,000 square meters and provide visitors with marine life-themed entertainment and education, further cementing Abu Dhaka’s Compared with its status as a tourist center.
Sheikh Khaled also visited the Yas Seaworld Research and Rescue Centre, the first integrated research, rescue, rehabilitation, return and education center in the MENA region.
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, developed by Miral in partnership with SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, offers entertainment, education and family-friendly experiences, including up-close animal encounters and animal displays.
Plus, it’s home to rides and attractions, as well as dining and shopping destinations.
Sheikh Khaled was accompanied by Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism and Miral Chairman, and Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Miral Group CEO.
“Today marks a major milestone for Abu Dhabi as we open Yas Island SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, a landmark attraction unrivaled on every level in the region and the world,” said Mr Al Mubarak.
“Sea World Abu Dhabi represents the next generation of theme parks, adding to Yas Island’s world-class experience, further positioning it as a top global destination and contributing to the development of Abu Dhabi’s tourism vision.
“The park will also play a key role in raising environmental awareness and protecting marine life in Abu Dhabi, the UAE and the wider region, and will undoubtedly inspire guests to care for and protect our precious marine life for years to come.
“Together with our partner, SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, we are proud to push the limits of science and conservation, creating a truly unparalleled knowledge center that demonstrates our shared commitment to upholding the highest standards of animal care and welfare. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi also announced that it has been accredited by Global Humane, the world’s largest animal welfare certification body, the first facility in the MENA region to achieve this accreditation.
