Abu Dhabi Police has issued a strict warning to motorists not to park their vehicles in the middle of the road under any circumstances.

Police have shared a video warning drivers that there could be problems if they plan to stop in the middle of a road with heavy traffic.

Video shows an inattentive pickup truck driver being pulled over suddenly in the middle of the road after parts of his truck came off during rush hour.

Abu Dhabi Police, in collaboration with the Tracking and Control Centre, has released a video on the dangers of parking in the middle of the road under the ‘You Comment’ initiative.

The Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrol Department urged drivers to proceed to the nearest exit to ensure the safety of road users.

The police appeal to drivers to maintain a sufficient safe distance, not to be distracted by things other than the road, and to avoid sudden stops of vehicles on the road and when traffic on internal and external roads is smooth.

It warns drivers of the dangers of talking on the phone while driving, as well as other behaviors that lead to distraction that can lead to accidents.
