Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s daughter, Princess Lilibet, is set to become America’s most famous celebrity, according to a royal expert.
Royal commentator Sandro Monetti has claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are building an “alternative royal family” in the US.
The two-year-old, who is barely seen in public, recently boosted her profile with a secret christening at the family’s Montecito home. Additionally, her parents claim her royal title as their birthright, according to a media report, increasing her potential for fame.
According to Monetti, Lilibet’s fame will eventually only grow: “Imagine a 21-year-old Lilibet and she’s going to be the biggest celebrity in town,” he said in an interview on HELLO!’s A Right Royal Podcast .
He also explained that Meghan and Harry’s presence in Los Angeles has created an alternative royal family, with the couple’s activism and public appearances putting them in the spotlight.
“If you think Britain has royal obsessives, there are far more here in America.”
The Sussexes’ partnerships with streaming giants Netflix, Spotify and their appearances at prestigious awards ceremonies have all contributed to their rise to fame.
