Wizz Air Abu Dhabi adds new aircraft and routes to Central Asia, Europe and Africa

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has announced that it will start operating flights to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and will resume flights to Larnaca, Santorini and Sokhag, Egypt.

The national carrier also confirmed the expansion of its fleet. The airline, which has nine Airbus A321neo aircraft, is driving growth in new areas, a statement said.

Wizz Air will also add its presence in Abu Dhabi – Tirana, Yerevan, Baku, Alexandria, Kutaisi, Athens, Almaty, Astana, Sarajevo, Ankara, Tashkent and Samarkand route network, thereby expanding its footprint in the existing network.

Johan Eidhagen, Officer and Managing Director, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi said: “Wizz Air is committed to raising the banner of ultra-low cost travel and liberating lives by providing affordable travel in the UAE and beyond.

“The ninth plane will provide an additional 30,000 super low-fare seats each month, allowing us to expand our network with many incredible leisure, historical and cultural experiences, making travel enjoyable for everyone.”

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi – Operational Results 2022

The airline will operate more than 6,000 flights in 2022, carrying more than 1.2 million passengers, according to official news agency WAM. In 2022, it carried over 600,000 point-to-point passengers to the UAE.
