thimpu [Bhutan]June 12 (ANI): The town of Zhemgang in Trong Gewog, Bhutan has come to life after the inauguration of a recreational park, Gyalsey Dumra, Bhutan Live reports.

Gyalsey Dumra Recreation Park is located in the center of town and features flowers, plants and other facilities on an acre of land.

The park has a concrete walkway, canopies, rest benches and restrooms. District officials said the park commemorates Bhutanese Prince Gyalsey Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck.

Since 2020, Zhegang District has carried out beautification work. According to Bhutan Live, the leisure park has now become a leisure place for residents of Zhemgang.

Since its opening on June 2, the amusement park has seen increasing passenger traffic and has become a hot topic in Zhegang Township, the report said.

According to people, the park enhances the beauty of the town, with green spaces to sit or walk.

Resident Lhendup said, “Everyone can come here. Even those who are not happy. Families can have picnics and other leisure activities here. Gyalsey Dumra has beautiful flowers and better places to sit. We can come here Drink tea, eat snacks, enjoy yourself. It feels like heaven,” reports The Bhutan Live.

Another resident, Pema Yudeng, said that there are many kinds of flowers in Jiansi Tenla. Young people can visit the park in their free time, while students doing floral studies can come to the park to complete assignments and project work, he said.

According to Bhutan Live, street lights have been installed in the park so that people can visit in the evening. According to residents, the park is a safe place to relax thanks to the installation of street lights. (Arnie)
