New Delhi [India]Jan 6 (ANI): India will host a summit of “Voices of the Global South” on Jan 12-13, Foreign Minister Vinay Kwatra said on Friday.
As many as 120 countries will take part in next week’s summit.

The foreign secretary said one meeting would involve 10 to 20 countries, while the other two main meetings would be chaired by the prime minister.
“We will be hosting a special virtual summit next week, January 12-13, 2023. The summit will be called Voices of the Global South Summit, and the theme will be unity of voice and unity of purpose,” Quail Terra said in a special briefing.

“It basically envisions bringing countries of the global South together and sharing their views and priorities on a range of issues on a common platform,” he added.
The initiative was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas”. It is also backed by the Indian philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” Kwatra said. (Arnie)
