“Today people say the economy and infrastructure don’t matter. Let me tell you, it matters to soldiers in the field. If we don’t provide them with infrastructure, we don’t treat them fairly,” EAM said.

The world is also watching how India handles terrorism. “Terrorism has plagued us for a long time. But the rest of the world compared our response to 26/11, and our response to Uri and Balakot. They saw the difference,” Jaishankar said.

EAM also addressed the “leakage problem” in a lighter way when it came to how the world was focusing on India’s actions.
