A magnitude 4.2 earthquake occurred Afghanistan According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), it was 1:40 a.m. CST on Thursday. The focal depth of the earthquake was 136 kilometers, the longitude was 69.51 degrees, and the latitude was 34.53 degrees.

The National Seismology Center tweeted: “Mg: 4.2, Occurred 08-03-2023, 01:40:47 IST, Latitude: 34.53, Longitude: 69.51, Depth: 136 km, Location: Afghanistan.”
Earlier on March 2, a magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck Faizabad Region, Afghanistan At 2:35 AM EST. According to the National Seismological Center (NCS), the quake occurred at latitude 37.73 degrees and longitude 73.47 degrees at a depth of 245 kilometers.
The National Earthquake Center said in a tweet, “Earthquake Magnitude: 4.1, Occurred on 02-03-2023, 02:35:57 IST, Latitude: 37.73, Longitude: 73.47, Depth: 245 km, Location: 267 km ENE Afghanistan Law Zabad.”
