NWTN, an eco-conscious mobility technology company focused on passenger-centric green premium mobility solutions, has inked an agreement with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (DED) to establish an advanced production line adhering to global standards.
As part of the deal, NWTN’s subsidiary, NWTN Technologies Industries, will introduce sustainable and high-quality mobility solutions in Abu Dhabi while expanding its regional presence. The collaboration with DED Abu Dhabi aims to foster cooperation and contribute to the growth of the emirate’s automotive industry.
Arafat Al Yafei, Executive Director Engineer at the Industrial Development Board, DED, expressed that the partnership with NWTN aligns with Abu Dhabi’s strategic goals for industrial development and transportation sector advancement. The agreement will enhance competitiveness, develop skills among the local workforce, attract investment, and unlock opportunities within Abu Dhabi’s manufacturing industry.
NWTN Automotive President, Paul Lin, shared his enthusiasm about expanding their footprint in Abu Dhabi and contributing to the progress of the automotive industry. The collaboration emphasizes NWTN’s commitment to talent development and technological innovation.
The memorandum of understanding (MOU) is initially valid for two years, with the possibility of renewal for both parties. Al Yafei stated that within the agreement, DED is dedicated to facilitating streamlined processes and assisting NWTN in obtaining necessary industrial licenses.
