Conviction possibility won’t deter Trump’s 2024 campaign commitment

Former US President Donald Trump affirmed that even if he faces conviction and sentencing on multiple charges, he will not halt his 2024 presidential campaign. The statement was made during an interview with the John Fredericks show, shortly after federal prosecutors expanded their investigation into his handling of classified documents post-presidency.

The latest indictment included new charges of obstruction and willful retention of national defense information. Additionally, a third defendant, Mar-a-Lago property manager Carlos De Oliveira, was implicated for allegedly collaborating with Trump and his valet, Walt Nauta, in concealing camera footage from investigators.

Trump maintains his innocence and his spokesperson dismissed the new charges as a desperate attempt by the Biden administration to harass him and influence the 2024 presidential race.
