Kozhaya confirmed plans to increase the number of local crew members this time around.

“We estimate that we will create around 700 to 800 jobs in Abu Dhabi,” he said.

“We’re going to have workshops on visual effects, production, finance, production, cinematography – we think it’s a great opportunity that when we’re shooting here, we can actually bring together talented crews to provide some of these workshops.”

Kozhaya also revealed what audiences can expect from the sequel to the film, which has a planned release date of November 3, 2023.

“We’re going to continue the world-building we started in part one and really ramp up the action in part two,” he said.

“We’ll continue to see warring factions and how these stories unfold. We’ll see returning cast members Timothy Chalamet and Zendaya And see their relationship play a more central role. “

He said new cast members who will be filming in Abu Dhabi include Christopher Walken, Austin Butler and Florence Pugh.

During the session, Kozhaya also highlighted how much the crew and cast enjoyed filming in Abu Dhabi.

“They learned about the Bedouin culture they were surrounded by in the desert and took the time to learn about the local culture,” he said.

“They really feel the warmth of the people of Abu Dhabi, they feel the hospitality. And this time, what we’re doing with the internship program and workshop is going to be a bigger presence again. So it’s a step forward. a big step.”
