According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the weather in the UAE today will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times.
Yellow and orange alerts for convective clouds that bring rain have been issued for parts of the country.
Abu Dhabi Police have issued a warning to motorists to be careful in the rain. Changed speed limits will be displayed on electronic signs.
Temperatures will drop with the rain. Abu Dhabi and Dubai recorded highs of 30°C and 29°C and lows of 20°C and 22°C respectively.
Some inland and coastal areas will be wet overnight and into Thursday morning. Light to moderate northwest to northeast winds will be blowing at 10 – 35 km/h.
The waves in the Arabian Gulf are light to moderate at times, while those in the Sea of Oman are light at times.
