PARIS, April 21 (AP) – A Paris court sentenced a Lebanese-Canadian academic in absentia on terrorism charges in connection with a 1980 bombing outside a Paris synagogue that killed four and wounded 46 .

On Friday, the court also sentenced Hassan Diab to life in prison and issued a warrant for his arrest after a trial that marked the culmination of a decades-long investigation.
