ABU DHABI: Sharjah’s bowlers beat Abu Dhabi’s batsmen ahead of Usman Khan’s crucial 38-run strike to propel Sharjah in the 34th match of the ongoing UAE D10 League A big win at seven wickets.

Set to chase a modest total of 77, Sharjah amassed goals in conceding just three wickets, with 25 balls to go as Usman Khan headed the field with a superb batting for the visitors.

Sharjah started an unpopular chase as they lost their first wicket on first delivery as Khalid Shah fell for a golden duck.

After an early setback, Usman Khan and Hassan Isaac formed a short-lived second-wicket partnership for Sharjah and added 31 before the latter fell.

Eisakhel finished with 21 rapid-fire attempts in just nine pitches, hitting two boundaries and as many as six.

Usman Khan then forged another vital partnership for Sharjah as he added 38 in the third wicket alongside Fayaz Ahmad for 11 deliveries.

Usman was the aggressor at the center of his game-defining partnership with Fayyaz and scored most of the runs before ultimately dying in the fifth when his team needed just eight runs in 31 pitches.

He was Sharjah’s top scorer with a stellar 38 from 18 overs, scoring boundaries and five sixes.

For Abu Dhabi, Mohammad Zubayr Khan took two wickets while Mohammad Mosin scored a header.

Batting first, Abu Dhabi’s batting line was rivaled by the collective bowling efforts of the Sharjah bowlers as they could only amass 77/6 from 10 overs.

Ali Abid was the top scorer for Abu Dhabi with a cautious 23 but was a bit slow as he conceded 20 bowls in the process, followed by Irshad Hussain , he hit 17 of 10 pitches.

Abdul Muqtadar Babar (14) was another notable running back from Abu Dhabi, while others failed to make significant contributions.

For Sharjah, Mohammad Mudassar Ali, Mohammad Uzar Khan and Mohammad Sajir Khan took two wickets each.
