Abu Dhabi tops the Safety Index rankings in this data report; Ajman, Dubai and Doha also round out the top five!


The city you live in determines your quality of life. Apart from economic factors, social and civic factors also play an important role in determining how one lives in a city. Therefore, in order to determine the relative safety of a city, several reports showing the rankings are published. And recently, one such ranking was revealed, which shows the safety index of many cities around the world. As it happens, Abu Dhabi gets the top ranking!

Abu Dhabi tops Safe City Index

According to data released by Numbeo, Abu Dhabi ranks at the top of the safety index. Yes, it has been voted the safest city in the world, making it an ideal work and life destination when it comes to safety and stability. Ajman and Dubai also made it into the top five safest cities index, according to a news report by Khaleej Times. Hence, the UAE’s position as a desirable destination is strengthened based on the above factors. Not to mention, this is not the first time Abu Dhabi has topped the list. Top of the list since 2022!

This is not surprising, as a survey released by the Ministry of Community Development last month found that 93 percent of Abu Dhabi residents felt safe walking alone at night. It is worth noting that Numbeo is a data provider in the global economic, social and security fields, and releases data and rankings for many cities every year and half a year. It should also be mentioned that Abu Dhabi tops the list with a safety index of 88. If you want to know the top 10 names too, here are the rankings.

As is evident from the list, Doha and Muscat are also other Middle Eastern cities that feature at the top of the list.
