Ankara terror attack: Group claims responsibility

The PKK claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing in Ankara that injured two people on Sunday. The attack targeted the Turkish Interior Ministry and was carried out by the PKK’s Immortal Brigade.

It occurred just before Parliament’s reopening after a three-month summer recess, with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan scheduled to address.

Two police officers were slightly injured in the attack, and Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported that they resisted the terrorists.

One attacker detonated a bomb, while the other was shot in the head before doing so. The government vowed to continue the fight against terrorism and criminal organizations.
