Economic cooperation between Russia and the UAE was discussed during SPIEF.

Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation attended the opening ceremony of the UAE Pavilion and met Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and Abdullah Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE · Ben Took Moray. In his welcome speech at the opening of the pavilion, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the special nature of Russia-UAE relations, strong friendship and a long history of cooperation based on the principles of mutual respect and trust.

“We are constantly expanding the scope of areas where we establish cooperation. We are implementing several industrial cooperation projects and initiatives in the fields of transport and services, energy and food security. Negotiations. This will further promote the overall development of our multilateral economic and trade relations,” Denis Manturov said.

The UAE’s participation in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum as the country of honor is an important step in strengthening bilateral economic, trade and investment cooperation. The UAE showcase attracted participants and guests alike, showcasing the country’s aspirations to grow, improve and move into the future. Its slogan “The Impossible Becomes Possible” is an important expression of the spirit of Russia and the UAE.

Denis Manturov participated in a business dialogue discussing future priorities and prospects for expanding cooperation between Russia and the UAE.

“I would like to stress that both UAE and Russian companies are interested in exploring various areas of cooperation. Russian companies are keen to deploy logistics and production capabilities in the UAE. We also look forward to continued mutual investment. Investments have been made in various sectors of the economy and our trade figures prove that these investments have been beneficial. Today, we and our UAE partners are implementing or considering projects in the fields of aviation, car manufacturing, metallurgy, machine building and pharmaceuticals,” said Denis Manturov explain.

During SPIEF, Denis Manturov also met Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, Chairman of the UAE Section of the Intergovernmental Council for Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation.

These meetings discussed the steps necessary to advance major collaborative projects, includingYingshi March 2023 committee meeting.
