DIFC Talent Week returns to empower young talents


Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) hosted the second edition of DIFC Talent Week, an event that continues to develop new talent and prepare them for the jobs of the future. This year’s event, which took place at the DIFC Innovation Center from 7-9 February, puts an even greater focus on empowering Emirati talent.

The event was attended by Sultan Al Mansoori, Chairman, UAE Human Resources Development Council, Dubai; Essa Kazim, Governor, DIFC; Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Chairman, Dubai Integrated Economic Zone Authority (DIEZ); and Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer, DIFC Authority.

DIFC Talent Week introduces the UAE to the founders of successful start-ups so that they can learn from their experiences and encourage them to become tech entrepreneurs.

The event also features a unique career fair, live workshops, panel discussions and interactive sessions for students, graduates and young professionals looking to pursue opportunities in financial services-related companies and the business of innovation and technology. Attendees gain access to job opportunities at top financial institutions and fintech companies, an industry that is a strong recruitment pipeline for young Emiratis.

Attendees can also take part in some 30 workshops over three days led by Dubai Future District Foundation, Mark Williams, Michael Page, Middlesex University Dubai, Robert Walters, Sarwa, Stanley Mac and more Organized by leading organizations.

National and multinational companies such as Baraka, Commercial Bank of Dubai, DIFC Authority, Dubai Government Human Resources Department, HSBC, Munich Re, Oliver Wyman, Standard Chartered and Talabat are hosting recruitment events on site to give candidates a chance to showcase their Skills and networks connect you directly with potential employers.

This year, representatives from renowned start-ups are equipping students and graduates with the knowledge and expertise they need to start their own businesses. Attendees have the unique opportunity to learn from the successes and challenges of these entrepreneurs and receive practical advice on how to bring their own business ideas to life.

Organized in partnership with educational institutions, world-renowned organisations, start-ups and government agencies, DIFC Talent Week is in line with the Centre’s commitment to shaping tomorrow’s talent and preparing it for tomorrow’s job market.
