Dubai Holding Entertainment, the largest infotainment group in the region, is looking to aggressively expand visitor experiences and entertainment options across its existing portfolio, including the popular Global Village.

“We are adding new experiences to our portfolio. Over the next few months we will focus on the Real Madrid theme park while we add many new experiential attractions, experiences, restaurants, dining and Indoor playgrounds,” Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment, told Khaleej Times in a recent interview.

The company is currently in the design phase of the Real Madrid theme park, ordering attractions, games of skill, restaurants, themes and more, he said.

“Real Madrid will have sports entertainment, a lot of skill games, football-related games, skill games to see what level you are with the pros. We will also have a museum where people can see the big wins the club has won in history. Replicas of some of the trophies, meals and films,” he said.

The Dubai Holding Entertainment portfolio includes Ain Dubai, Global Village, Dubai Parks and Resorts, The Green Planet, Arabian Radio Network, Virgin Radio and many other entities.

It also recently opened its largest inflatable park at Dubai Parks and Resorts.

Eiroa added that the company’s Coca-Cola arena, The Green Planet, draws a lot of visitors.

Eiroa added that the next edition of the show will offer even more shows, entertainment and experiences for visitors.

“The global village is an example of the world as it should be – different cultures, different people and different countries living together, sharing their experiences, cultures and food. Millions of people come here to enjoy this diversity sex. So, we’re going to emphasize that and bring more attractions that relate to that,” he said.

The 27th season of Global Village Dubai, which closed on April 30, received the most visitors in its history with more than 9 million visitors.

“We’ve seen an increase in traffic both domestically and internationally,” he added.
