UAE-based EDGE Group has acquired Abu Dhabi-based cybersecurity company OryxLabs as part of the defense company’s strategy to expand its product portfolio and provide advanced solutions to address key pain points in cybersecurity locally and internationally.

“EDGE’s rapid growth and increased emphasis on creative sovereign capabilities requires us to pursue opportunities to enhance our capabilities and broaden our product offering. The inclusion of OryxLabs in the group is a logical step, allowing us to advance our advanced technology solutions portfolio,” said Mansour AlMulla, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE.

Founded in 2020, OryxLabs currently employs three proprietary solutions:

  • Vulncano is used to identify malicious actors or discover weaknesses in an entity’s own environment.
  • Discovery, an external attack surface monitoring platform.
  • A DNS firewall that monitors outgoing DNS traffic from the organization’s network and remotely operated computers to ensure that no malicious websites are accessed by existing endpoint devices.

The company’s strong track record and its ability to deliver advanced solutions are expected to deliver tangible benefits to EDGE. It provides tailored cyber security solutions to protect against emerging cyber threats.

EDGE’s growth strategy is supported by advanced programs and initiatives delivered by its recently opened state-of-the-art Learning and Innovation Factory, an Industry 4.0 center for operational excellence and advanced technology learning and demonstration that blends theory, technology and practice to drive Modernize while encouraging portfolio companies to adopt new approaches to everyday challenges.
