ABU DHABI, 24th February, 2023 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Arabic Center, ALC, part of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi DCT, has announced its participation in the 31st edition of the New Delhi World Book Fair, It will be held from February 25 to March 5, 2023.
The book fair is an important cultural platform in the international book fair, which aims to promote the development of the publishing industry, strengthen the publishing of participating cultural entities, and provide opportunities for the establishment of partnerships between international publishing houses.
ALC President Dr Ali bin Tamim said the center seeks to strengthen communication channels and advance partnerships with educational and cultural institutions, as well as international publishing houses, to support cultural action globally.
Bin Tamim added that the introduction of ALC to East Asian and Indian markets will encourage greater participation from publishers at Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2023. The center will also showcase the latest developments in its various projects in publishing and translation, and showcase new editions of books and written works.
The New Delhi World Book Fair includes a series of conferences and literary programs, bringing together major global publishing houses. Last year, the show was held virtually and attracted more than 2.8 million visitors from 70 countries, including 150 Indian exhibitors and 15 foreign exhibitors.
