Etihad Rail Tickets: What to Know Before the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Launch
Etihad Rail tickets for the new Dubai-Abu Dhabi passenger service have gone on sale ahead of the September 30 launch. The new service will connect Dubai and Abu Dhabi by passenger train, giving travellers a new alternative to road travel between the two cities.
Comfort Class fares start at Dh39 one way, while Premium Class fares start at Dh109. The final fare can vary depending on the selected ticket type and availability.
The Dubai-Abu Dhabi journey is expected to take around 57 minutes, making the service one of the fastest public transport options between the two emirates.
The first Dubai-Abu Dhabi service is scheduled to depart from Al Yalayis Station in Dubai in the morning. Multiple round trips are planned each day once regular passenger operations begin.
The Dubai station will also offer connections to Dubai’s wider public transport network, helping passengers reach the station from different parts of the city.
The September 30 launch marks an important step in the UAE‘s national passenger rail network. Etihad Rail has already begun passenger services on other parts of its network, with thousands of passengers using the trains.
