FM Nirmala Sitharaman meets UAE Ambassador Abdulnasser Jamal Alshaali to discuss bilateral relations

New Delhi [India]March 8 (ANI): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Monday and united arab emirates Ambassador to India Abdul Nasser Jamal Al ShaaliDeputy Head of the UAE Delegation Majid Anekeravi and Abdulaziz Alhashmi, head of the Political Department, UAE Embassy Bilateral relations between the two countries were also discussed.

The Treasury tweeted: “Mr. Abdul Nasser Jamal Al Shaalithe UAE Ambassador to India, and Mr. Majid AnekeraviDeputy Head of the UAE Delegation & Mr. Abdulaziz Alhashmi, Chief of Political Section, UAE Embassy, calling on FM Smt @nsiharaman today to discuss bilateral relations between India and UAE. “
On March 1, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, arrived in India for the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. Notably, India assumed the G20 presidency on 1 December.

Meanwhile, Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, participated in the eighth Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi. She was present at the meeting along with various UAE ministers and officials.
According to a statement issued by the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Reem Ibrahim Al Hashemi’s involvement demonstrates the depth of the strategic relationship between the two countries.
In a session titled ‘A region of opportunity: from the Mediterranean to the Arabian Sea’, she highlighted the UAE’s approach to forging more sustainable and effective partnerships with other countries and its use of technology, science and innovation to strengthen those partnerships A vision of relationships designed to benefit humanity.
According to the statement, Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy said that the purpose of the UAE hosting the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) is to focus on finding solutions and new innovations to global challenges. (Arnie)
