As mentioned above, UFC 294 is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi this October. The Etihad Arena will host the major combat sports event on 21 October. While the race license has yet to be announced, you can definitely expect some big names, because it’s no small feat! Did you know Islam Mahachev was the lightweight champion the year before? Yes, he won the title after defeating Charles Oliveira at UFC 280. Not to mention, it’s no surprise that the event was announced after the completely sold-out UFC fight UFC 280 in October 2022!

It is worth noting that UFC or Ultimate Fighting Championship is the world’s leading mixed martial arts event and has a long-standing relationship with the capital. It’s definitely a highly anticipated event as part of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week from 16-22 October. Furthermore, since UFC 112 in 2010, the UFC has so far hosted 18 such dynamic events in Abu Dhabi. In addition, UFC 294 will also mark the 18th UFC event between UFC and the Abu Dhabi.
