The event will unveil the region’s first solar-powered lounge area, dedicated to all delivery drivers. Here they will be allowed to rest and relax during the summer confinement.

In addition to rest areas, the plan will also reactivate mobile air-conditioned buses at key passenger locations in the capital. Drivers will also receive a series of traffic safety training.
Abdulrahman Ali Al Shizawi, Chairman of the Traffic Safety Technical Committee, commented: “The implementation of these initiatives has provided a safe and comfortable working environment for delivery riders and has had a positive impact on the traffic safety of road users. Be patient and kind when dealing with delivery riders, especially during the summer.”
