Many ape societies developed from when a Moses-like Caesar brought his people to an oasis, while humans were reduced to barbaric existence. Some groups had never heard of Caesar, while others twisted his teachings to build fledgling empires. In this context, one ape leader began to enslave other tribes in search of human technology, while another ape watched his clan being kidnapped and embarked on a journey to find freedom. A young human female becomes the key to the latter’s quest, though she has plans of her own.

In the film, Rahman joins previously announced cast members Peter Macon, Freya Allen and Owen Teague, along with William H. Macy and Kevin Durand.It was created by Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver (who all collaborated on the new avatar film) and Patrick Eisen (prey), currently scheduled for release on May 24, 2024.
