IBMC Group, the leading financial professional group in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), welcomes the PNG Cabinet’s decision to establish a permanent diplomatic mission in the UAE.
Group chief executive and managing director Sajith Kumar P. K, who is also a business and investment adviser to the PNG embassy in Brussels, praised the PNG government in a media statement.
Mr Kumar said that Papua New Guinea is one of the major Pacific island economies that investors and businesses will focus on at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Papua New Guinea’s industry roundtable discussions on a green economy and balance with nature, economic and industrial reforms, and the post-Expo economic dialogue meeting in Abu Dhabi most attracted investors to Papua New Guinea as a preferred trade and investment destination.
Mr Kumar said the Papua New Guinea Pavilion’s emphasis on sustainability and harmony with nature had attracted a lot of attention from potential investors and had the potential to attract global funding.
IBMC Group honored Papua New Guinea with the 2021 Global Gold Ambassador Award at the Global Gold Conference and Industry (UAE Chamber of Commerce) held at the Armani Hotel Burj Khalifa in Dubai during Expo 2020.
This elevates Papua New Guinea’s status to the top level of the global gold industry.
