Informa Markets’ Middle East campaign wins major accolades

Informa Markets, the world’s leading exhibition organizer, celebrated a series of awards at the recent AEO Awards of Excellence, which recognizes and celebrates achievements in the global events industry.

Middle East Energy 2023, Black Hat MEA and LEAP were recognized as outstanding winners in their respective categories.

The awards ceremony, held at London’s upscale Grosvenor House on 16 June, recognized the achievements of the renowned organizers, the standard of excellence of the venue and the quality of service of industry suppliers and contractors.

Energy Middle East 2023, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, has been awarded Best International Trade Show Marketing Event of the Year. Black Hat MEA, a cybersecurity event held in Riyadh, was awarded the Organizers Team of the Year award. LEAP held its second edition earlier this year in the Saudi Arabian capital, winning Best Middle East and Africa International Exhibition and Best International Conference.

Informa Markets had 25 entries, with Middle East events and exhibitions making up the majority of the finalists. In addition to the winners, Arab Health, Cityscape Bahrain and Medlab Middle East also received 15 recommendations across multiple categories.

Peter Hall, President EMEA, Informa Markets, said: “It is an incredible honor to be shortlisted amongst so many of our event industry peers. However, winning these awards is a huge tribute to the impeccable work of all staff at Informa Markets A tribute, but also an acknowledgment of the difference they are making in the events industry.

“After a challenging 2020 and 2021, it’s been a tribute to all involved to see the entire events industry return to pre-COVID-19 levels and in many cases exceed them.

“In the Middle East, we have the support of local government and industry partners, and the event and exhibition industries in the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia continue to grow and play an integral role in the Middle East. Supporting economic development, increasing tourism income and contribute to the future growth of countries.”

Winning entries are noted for their creativity, originality, innovation, financial success, productivity and positive feedback from attendees.

LEAP is the world’s fastest growing tech event, with more than 172,000 visitors and over US$9 billion committed to strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a digital leader in the Middle East. Middle East Energy also had an excellent 2023 with a record 23,500 visitors and a business value of more than $1.8 billion. Black Hat MEA 2023 is expected to take place November 14-16 and welcome more than 40,000 information security professionals, 300 exhibitors and more than 300 world-renowned speakers from more than 120 countries. –trade arab news agency
