US President Joe Biden will meet Britain’s King Charles at Windsor Castle, where they will reportedly have tea together.
according to ReutersJoe Biden will seek to deepen ties with King Charles and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in separate meetings on Monday, with Ukraine and climate change expected to dominate the agenda.
The US president arrived in London on Sunday night for a three-nation tour that includes a NATO summit in Lithuania, aimed at expressing solidarity with Ukraine in its fight against Russia.
The publication further said that King Charles and Biden will discuss how to help boost private investment to combat climate change, a threat both leaders have said is real.
The White House national security adviser reportedly told reporters on Air Force One on Sunday: “The president has great respect for the King’s commitment, particularly on climate. He has been a loud voice on this issue.” Reuters.
It will be the first meeting between King Charles and Joe Biden since the British monarch was crowned in May.
Biden did not attend the coronation of King Charles at Westminster Abbey, sending first lady Jill Biden instead.
